Luxury experiences are not solely reserved for special occasions in my world. There are a plethora of ways to bring a little luxury into your everyday experiences. Honestly, I think that’s the best way to live. By bringing luxury to your daily life you are able to live in a more refined and enjoyable way instead of just taking whatever life throws at you. Living with the intention of elevating every experience you can is an excellent way to build a life that you are excited about living.
One of the simplest things I do to elevate my everyday living is take care of my skin. My visage has come a long way from the acne-marked days of my teens and early twenties. I still get acne but nowhere near the amount I used to deal with. I know that is partly hormonal, but upgrading my skincare helped too.
Breakouts and blemishes were some of the things about my appearance that I used to struggle with. When I got serious about upgrading myself skincare was where I started. Makeup can cover a lot but I wanted to be a tinted moisturizer kind of girl. I have nothing against foundation. I still wear it, but I don’t need full coverage to hide an uneven skin tone anymore.
My overall skincare routine has worked wonders. My complexion products go on incredibly smoothly and don’t need to work overtime to hide imperfections. One of the most simple and luxurious ways I’ve been able to keep this great skin party going is by doing a facemask every night. Most masks only need about 20 minutes to work their magic so nighly masking is a perfect way to give yourself a mini spa treatment and relax.
After I shower every night I immediately put on a face mask. I cleanse my face before I shower so my skin is clean and ready for masking when I’m done. Showering gets pretty steamy on its own so you get some of the benefits of using a face steamer before you mask up.

Tumeric helps brighten your complexion and reduce the appearance of dark spots. That added with some manual exfoliation is a winner in my book. I love putting on my serums after this mask. It makes my skin so smooth! I only use it once per week because of the manual exfoliation. There is such a thing as too much of a good thing.

I bought this one on a whim and I’m glad I was frivolous! For one, it’s blue so it’s fun to have a blue face for a few minutes. It also makes your face feel icy like IcyHot before the ‘hot’ kicks in. My pores are clearer and less noticeable since I started using this twice per week.

Out of Trouble™ 10 Minute Mask to Rescue Problem Skin
This one definitely has a smell. If you’ve ever used an acne spot treatment it smells exactly like that. The pros far outweigh the cons! I whip this one out a few times the week before my period to keep my hormone-related breakouts to a minimum.
